Andy Nisbet's Bio
Andy Nisbet developed his desire to teach while majoring in Professional Golf Management at Mississippi State University. In the years since, Andy has enthusiastically set out to be a great instructor of the golf swing. He has steadily built a reputation as an instructor for players at any level.
Andy began his career studying and observing under well-known pros such as Hank Haney, Terri Anthony-Ryan, Rick Martino, Virgil Helling, Rick Stocke, and Cody Barden. After working as a Golf Professional at The Country Club of Birmingham(Birmingham, AL) and for the City of Southfield (Southfield, MI), Andy took a job as Director of Instruction at Las Positas Golf Course in Livermore.
Andy Nisbet works with his students to develop an accurate plan to improve the flight of their golf ball. By giving cause and effect analogies, coupled with physical hands on examples, they create a relationship that will produce positive results. The impact position is the basis of Andy's philosophy.
Andy has taught touring professionals from Japanese and Asian tours, over 500 college players, and countless players aspiring to improve.
Andy is a member of the PGA, where he has been recognized for what he does in trying to grow the game of golf. Along with many other accolades, Andy donates a huge percentage of his time to juniot golf. From free lessons for underprivileged youth, to organizing the Tri-Valley Middle School Golf League with over 200 players, Andy continues to give back to the community.
